It is always deeply troubling if not downright unsettling when our icons, whether individuals, countries, or gods, turn out not only to have feet of clay, but are revealed to be made entirely of putrid mud. As their true natures are revealed by their consistent actions, their decades of false projections, vile hypocrisy, and relentless lies that cloaked them and made them seem ‘iconic’ begin to disperse and uncover their festering rot. We are of course talking about the formerly great United States of America and the self-professed ‘chosen by God’ peoples and their nation of Israel.
Both of these countries have enjoyed unprecedented success and admiration from the majority of the world for the past half a century or more.
Held up as enterprising, bold, innovative, and lethal, when messed with, or if provoked or threatened, they rose to the top of the world rankings – one as THE Super-Power, and the other as a little ‘Giant’ that could do it all.
Along with their vaunted economic and military power, these two countries were heavily promoted as the bastions of virtue, oasis of democracies, equality, justice, fairness, and constitutional secular tolerance and acceptance.
As inherently immigrant constructed ‘new’ nations, they were held up to be the ‘promised lands’ where the disenfranchised of the world could seek succour and success denied in their distant places of origin.
That image held intact for decades, in spite of the glaring falsities visible just under the surface, till these past few years, when aided by the corrosive effects of the their two most toxic leaders, Donald Trump and Bibi Netanyahu, and their open hereto unacceptable bigoted and racist rhetoric and actions, the masks melted rapidly to reveal the rotten innards of two ‘civilized, world leading countries’ that were in reality morally bankrupt and built on lies that challenged their constitutional underpinnings.
As ‘democracies’ they both Fail.
The US has a fundamentally flawed democratic process, where one vote does not count as one vote, because it can be nullified by ‘Electoral College’, resulting in the majority to be upstaged by a minority group of votes. And, as recent years have demonstrated time and again, in America, money wins elections, not the simple process of an individual’s vote. Additionally, the US is an apartheid State in thin disguise as different groups within it are disenfranchised by the increasingly favoured political manoeuvre by the American conservatives of ‘Gerrymandering’, which is the deliberate altering of the district electoral boundaries, so as to disadvantage a group of voters, that carves out entire neighbourhoods because of their colour and/or their ethnicity (in the case of America, the Black or non-white-immigrant citizens and communities). The Democrats have now taken up this particular practice to counter the Republicans. None of these political realities of America constitute a true democracy.
As for Israel, since the day of its founding, it’s been carved-in and founded for Jews in a predominantly Muslim/Arab country where the inhabitants were inconvenient and unwelcome, and were quickly made strangers in their own land - with decreasing rights in a new nation that grew to openly want their total expulsion, if not their total annihilation (as stated openly by Israel’s leadership time and again). To say that Israel is anywhere near being a real democracy is to be ingesting hallucinogens.
Both countries have excelled in one thing above all else in their pervasive influence on the modern world – they have both invaded more countries, killed more innocent peoples, young and old, than any other country or people in the modern world, all in the name of either virtuous pre-emptive defence, or safeguarding democracy, or …
Most times their aggression and violence has been unleashed simply to further and enforce their global or regional hegemony, or to steal land and valuable natural resources, particularly oil and gas. In this respect, these two countries are the most active belligerents on earth, responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths and the destruction of entire nations whose only sin was to be either in the way of their overt hegemonic plans, or happen to have vast amounts of natural resources.
In literally terrorizing entire countries on different continents no less, such was their reach, America and Israel successfully, and for decades, cloaked it all in terms of being the ‘good guys’ bringing civilization, decency, democracy (and economic models of cut-throat-sweat-shop capitalism).
The scales of their interventions, either in the name of pre-emptive self-defence, or the noble mission of bringing democracy and saving the world from vile dictatorships, evil socialism, or god-forbid cancerous communism, were so frequent, and so large, as to numb the world from the horror of the sheer numbers massacred by lethal air-power and all-out military invasions.
We are witnessing another one of these exercises being carried out in the exact same manner with the war on Iran. The official narrative was Iran posed ‘an existential and imminent threat’ to Israel AND the United States.
The very idea of beleaguered Iran, who for decades has been economically strangled by the harshest sanctions, and been militarily attacked, covertly and overtly, innumerable times over the same decades, with its civilian, military and political leaders being regularly assassinated for being ‘possible threats’, and a nuclear-program which was the most inspected and monitored by the outside world, and had verifiably been declared to have no nuclear weapons and no desire to make any, was on the basis of these false accusations attacked by both the rogue countries.
Again, the lie is so bold and audacious that the world goes silent in apathetic hopelessness, for these two rogue partners have been doing this exact thing for decades and have left numerous devastated countries in their wake, littered with smashed cities and tens of thousands of dead bodies blown apart by more ordinance than used in both the Great Wars!!
The scale of wanton destruction is so great that the world, till now, has always had muted protestations, if any, in silent shock and awe. The hapless, toothless United Nations has been so infuriatingly helpless in reigning in these two runaway rogue nations (and others), as to be a mockery of the concept of institutional oversight.
This pathetic display of global hypocrisy of pretending everything is being done by the most respected, advanced and civilized nations of America and Israel, and therefore is above reproach (at least meaningful reproach), while fingers are wagged and lectures given on the small scale infractions of minor countries, despotic rulers, and poverty stricken failed States that Trump labelled ‘shit hole’ countries.
All the while, both America and Israel are doing everything to drive them deeper in to the toilet, by funding dissent, engineering coups/regime changes, and by installing ‘friendly’ dictators and despots, all in the name of American and Israeli ‘interests’, and damning the local or indigenous interests.
Countries attacked overtly or covertly in America’s ‘interests’ since 1946 are listed at over 80!! Over 80 countries have been attacked by America since WWII.

Israel has carried out open military and covert operations in 20 plus countries ranging far from its border in the pursuit of its ‘interests’. It has, with the help of United States and the other Western countries (primarily), destroyed practically all its immediate neighbours and reduced them to rubble.
We have all watched this take place in front of us, more or less, over our entire lifetimes. For most of that time, we the world at large, were still under the influence of the ‘righteousness’ of America’s and Israel’s causes.
America’s cause, because it helped tremendously, albeit a bit belatedly, to defeat Nazi Germany, and the Japanese Imperial Empire, both of whom were incredibly nasty in their disposition at that time.
And Israel’s cause, because the Jews had suffered the unthinkable, the Holocaust, the mass slaughter of innocent Jews at the hands of the German Nazi’s.
Those feelings of admiration as being the ‘good’ global guy, for America, and the sheer empathy for the suffering of the Jews made us incapable of perceiving either of them as being anything but ‘good’.
That global wholescale acceptance for America’s and Israel’s subsequent actions has lasted till now. Now, there is a major crack in that decades-old-façade, and the real image of both those nations being anything but ‘good’ is now in-our-faces.
Bolstered and encouraged by our years of collective silent acceptance, and more recently the insane apathy to the wholesale destruction of the entire Middle East, both America and Israel have dropped all pretence at being the good guys, and have increasingly been willing to state their inhumane and imperialistic agendas of wiping out entire peoples they consider obstacles to their expansionist plans, and their drive to dominate entire regions and the world.
In their quest for total domination, both America and Israel have stated their intention to completely destroy all who dare oppose them, and if that is not possible, as in the case of giants such as ascending China, and a battered albeit still dangerous Russia, they have openly stated their intent in doing whatever is necessary to ‘contain’ them.
As for Iran, Venezuela, Lebanon, Gaza, West Bank, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and others in the neighbourhood, total destruction, annexation, or resistance-less domination, are the only acceptable outcomes for both America and Israel.
By the way, all this wanton destruction of entire countries, cities, regions, killings, murders, tortures, kidnappings (President Maduro and his wife in Venezuela, and men/women and even children, in all of Palestine and Lebanon), are not terrorism, but any resistance to them is. Murdering leaders of other countries is not terrorism, but any resistance or criticism is, and on top of that it is anti-Semitism. In fact, any criticism of Israel and Jews is anti-Semitism.
It is stunning how warped the global mind has become with the relentless propaganda of the nobility of national causes, even if in the name of those causes, racial, political or religious, unspeakable, unholy horrors are committed.
And yes, we are aware that some or all of these inhumane activities have been participated in by other countries, races, religions, and colours, at some time or another, and this is not to ignore or favour them, but at this particular point in time, it is more than timely to point out and find these two advanced and so-called model nations, the professed bastions of democracy, civil liberties, equality, justice and freedoms to be unacceptably evil in their actions, all the while being breathtakingly hypocritical in their relentless propaganda of being the good guys. Yes, behind the façade and masks of nobility and civility and world leadership have always been two of the ugliest entities obsessed only with greed and hegemonic ambitions, willing to shed rivers of blood.
