Canada has always been the polite, quiet powerhouse that punches way above its weight geo-politically, and it is doing it again under the impressive leadership chops of its current Prime Minister, Mark Carney.

It’s been a longtime coming, but, finally the majority of Americans are realizing the mistake of electing Trump with a majority in the last election.

When push came to shove, Trump did what he has become quite well-known for, he chickened out (TACO - Trump Always Chickens Out!). Trump, over the last few weeks kept doubling down when people and nations questioned the wisdom of such a radically damaging move which would have dire consequences for Western unity and post WWII hegemony.

It’s bizarre, but the Western allies and alliances are brought to an existential crisis NOT by adversaries or enemies, but their biggest former partner and ally, the United States of America - or as it will be known from here on out, big bad America, led by a true bizarro, Donald J. Trump.

Dear readers, after the Christmas holiday season, and travelling from Toronto to Vancouver, and back, seeing one part of this vast country to the other, where everything looked relatively normal, except it was not, as during that time, the stability of the established world-order, since WWII, continued to deteriorate.

Vladimir Putin catastrophically miscalculated his invasion of Ukraine. For ‘the great strategist’, flush from his successes in seemingly restoring some of the lost greatness of Russia (former USSR), through his globally high profile military victories in Syria, and the sudden, bold and successful annexation of Crimea, the invasion and control of Ukraine seemed the proverbial ‘walk in the park’.

Of all the outrageously inappropriate and illegal actions Trump has taken as the US President, in his first and second term, and he has swamped all standards of accepted propriety, nothing has come close to penetrating his teflon-like invincibility as the deceased and America’s most notorious paedophile Jeffrey Epstein has done.

America - the only country in the world that has almost annual intergovernmental fight between the two primary political parties to fund regular government operations and keep government functioning. It is normally unheard of for countries to even contemplate shutting government operations because of political-ideological differences amongst political parties, but, in America it definitely is a thing.

It seems that the excesses of Trump’s regime are starting to be a bit too much even for the soapy brained, reality-altering cult of Donald Trump, as some of them turn with the pained expression of ‘what did we do’-look to recant their unconditional support for the most destructive leader of this Century.

Over the last few decades, particularly from the time when Ronald Reagan was President in the United States (in the 1980s), and Brian Mulroney was Canada’s Prime Minister (also in the 1980s), their personal rapport and their political and economic ideological affinity resulted in the first ‘Free Trade Agreement’ between Canada and the United States.

The largest protest in American history was a joke to wannabe king Donald Trump, and his followers. A Joke!! Those who turned out to protest were of the old America, which believed in decency, non-violence and the Constitutional right to protest as a fundamental American ‘right’, signifying the quintessential act of freedom of every American.
