Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu and America’s Donald Trump are both openly criminal, and unapologetically so. Trump is actually a convicted felon in an American Court of Law, and Netanyahu has an arrest warrant out for him, issued by the International Court of Crimes (ICC) for ‘war crimes’ and ‘crimes against humanity’, for his genocidal operations in Gaza.
But that fact of being criminals has not stopped either of them from doing addition harm. They are both elected as leaders of their respective countries (what does it says about the countrymen who elected them?) and therefore, safe from further prosecution, for now. Although, their irresponsible behaviour is creating additional legal hazards for them, and their plan to escape those hazards is to create endless crises to keep their countries and the world distracted, fearful, and on-edge.
For Trump, his chaotic and destructive second term in Office is needing evermore distractions.
For Netanyahu, his and his maniacal extremist government’s atrocious murderous actions in Gaza are coming under increasingly intense fire from the world. Even the hereunto docile, shameless, and unconditionally supportive western allies are becoming uncharacteristically anti-Israel because of its continuing inhumane and genocidal military operations in Gaza.
Both Trump and Netanyahu need other major distractions, so now, after years of preparations and provocations, Netanyahu has attacked Iran, with the tacit blessing of a hesitant Trump. While Netanyahu thills in endless wars that keep him in Office, timid Trump is less comfortable with provoking major international violent actions; he prefers isolated strikes against weak foes.
Once again, both countries are going to war on false pretences. Every time they have done so, they are the initial provocateurs, if one cares to examine the timelines far enough back from the current military action being framed as heroic self-defence, or an anti-terror operation.
Anyone care to remember, America’s ‘war on terror’ after 9/11, where mostly Saudi men attacked America’s twin towers, and America destroyed Iraq instead, its former money and arms supported, Saddam Hussein-led, proxy-war ally against Iran, in the seven-year war?
Most Middle Eastern countries have been either fully subjugated or completely destroyed by the US, and Israel, in the past decades, in the name of either self-defence, war-on-terror, or oil.
If oil-rich countries did not subjugate themselves, they were destroyed and regime-changed.
Iran has been the only major holdout. It is very oil and natural gas rich, and the United States, the West and Israel have been coveting its natural resources for decades. They (the US and the UK) even regime-changed it, but it survived. Since then, they have been trying to destroy it with the most punishing economic and financial sanctions. It still survived. It has been fighting back but by and large its efforts are comparatively puny. But it’s blamed as the greatest terror threat to the world, even though the most fearsome terrorist groups were always Saudi-theology (Shia) based. Iran is Sunni.
So, they have been punishing it for decades, even though it posed no material threat to either Israel or the US (all rhetoric aside, from all sides), for just one simple reason - both Israel and the US are the most militarily powerful, nuclear armed nations on earth. Iran is neither.

Netanyahu’s favourite excuse for vilifying and attacking Iran, for decades, is two-fold.
One, that Iran’s regime calls for the complete destruction of Israel, which it does; but it is totally incapable of carrying out such a threat, even partially (all the culturally required Middle Eastern fiery rhetoric notwithstanding).
Two, that Iran is close (one week, ten days, two weeks etc.) to developing a functioning nuclear bomb. Netanyahu has been accusing Iran of being a near-nuclear nation for decades, when even Israel’s fearsome Intelligence Agency Mossad, and the CIA, said it wasn’t.
Well, its been decades, and Iran is still nowhere near having a nucleal weapon, but the charge is again front and centre, and the world knowing the truth, keeps silent because it does not want to antagonize Israel, or its enslaved belligerent big-brother America, which is undergoing an ideological identity crisis of its own.
Israel and the US will heavily damage or destroy yet another Middle Eastern country, kill yet more innocent people to add to the hundreds of thousands already killed by the two countries in Palestine and the rest of the Middle East, once again in the name of ridiculously hypocritical assertion of self-defence, when it is they who are usually the perpetrators of the pre-emptive violence on sovereign nations.
But if the attacked country dares to try and retaliate, it is always them that are the terrorists needing to be wiped-out. This game has been successfully played by the US and Israel for decades, so why stop now when the need for distraction from other issues is so great.
For Iran, it’s been a very long time in coming, the additional destruction of Iran. Why ‘additional destruction’, because in 1953, the US and UK Intelligence Agencies orchestrated a coup against the elected Prime Minister of Iran because the Prime Minister dared to nationalize Iran’s considerable oil reserves to get a better price; which better served Iranians, who owned the oil.
How dare he, right?
The US and the UK, who up till then, had been taking the oil at a very advantageous price did not like it at all, and decided to get rid of the elected government of Iran and replace it with their own puppet, the Shah of Iran, who went back to selling Iran’s oil cheaply to his benefactors, the Western powers, particularly the US and the UK.
The Shah was a dictator who served his Western benefactors and terrorized his own people, with his secret police SAVAK, which was set up by the CIA. Eventually the Shah was deposed by the current Islamic Theocracy, which again deprived the West of Iran’s oil at their price.
Since then, Iran has been vilified, attacked by America’s then proxy Iraq under Saddam Hussein, and then economically sanctioned mercilessly even though innocent Iranian public suffered endlessly. And then was repeatedly attacked by Israel pre-emptively and illegally for decades, and repeatedly accused for having nuclear-weapons, or close to having one, when it never did.
Unfortunately, it still has a lot of oil.
And it does not like Zionist-Israel, and its atrocities against the innocent Palestinian people who were invaded from Europe by fleeing Jews, and whose rights supercede the rights of people who have lived there for centuries, while the vast majority of Jews have not been there, literally for thousands of years. But the locals have been driven out over the decades into smaller and smaller spaces in their own land. Till now they face extinction by death, or complete dispersion from their lands by the invading Zionists (a classic genocide).
Iran has stood for the grievously, unjustly persecuted Palestinians, and against Zionist-Israel.
And that, in this world, is a mortal sin punishable by complete ostracization, or death. And the US, as usual, will back Israel unconditionally. Especially a war against Iran, which they themselves have been trying to break and own, since 1953.
