Trump’s Reality Slap in the Face Finally Woke up MAGA

The spell that Trump put on his MAGA base rivalled that of the Evil Queen’s on Snow White. Since his decent on the escalator, a decade ago, the MAGA base went into a trance-like state from which none of his evil actions seemed real, none of his lies mattered, and in which, only his version of ‘alternate reality’ was the only reality that they believed in.

For the rest of us who were awake during these years, this Trump-induced trance was exasperating in the extreme, as during all that time it allowed Trump to get away with murder (figuratively speaking). His sins and shortcomings took on mythical status in the entire world, but to the MAGA base, in deep-sleep from his spell, he was not only the Messiah, but he, even as a mere mortal man, could do no wrong; even if he did shoot someone on Fifth Ave. as he himself once bragged. 

But that seems to have finally changed, somewhat, as Trump bitch-slapped his base by brazenly denying the full disclosure of the Epstein files, after actively leading them on, and inflating the matter for purely political purposes. For him, everything and everyone was a sucker for manipulation for his sole benefit, and he sure rung every bit of political mileage out of the notorious Epstein case.

Now, abruptly withholding all real information on the greatest paedophile case in US history, was a slap in the face of all his biggest and most rabid supporters, as he had actively encouraged them to whip themselves in to a frothing frenzy, by teasing them with the possibility that the people they (his influencers and base) most loved to hate were on Epstein’s ‘Client List’ - namely the Clintons, the Bidens, the Obamas, the Gates, and George Soros types, you know, the Liberal evil elite, the ‘international child traffickers par excellence’ cabal.

After years of stoking to feverish anticipation, and when he has total control of America’s government, he instructed his sycophants, Pam Bondi and Kash Patel to announce that there really was not a ‘client list’, and there was no murder, and therefore, no conspiracies to feed on.

All those long years of compressed air rushing out of that overinflated balloon is now threatening to blow his waking MAGAs away.

That stinging slap of Trump reality - that he played them like a well-used fiddle, has suddenly jolted some of them awake, and they are now baying for someone’s blood in his administration. He of course is doing what he does best, distracting them with - Rosie O’Donnell, the Clintons, the Bidens, the Obamas – and predictably evading all responsibility in creating the sh*t-storm. Plus he is desperately hoping that his base does not wake-up enough to realize that he is probably the most frequent and active participant in the Epstein file.

As the whole issue gets too hot for him, he will resort to what also comes naturally to him – blame others. It is only a matter of time before he tries to put his half-awake base back to sleep by firing others who have the unfortunate luck to be dealing with this fiasco on his behalf, namely Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and FBI director, Kash Patel.

The fact that no one in his inner circle of top officials, and advisors, can take an important step before Trump approving it, isn’t going to matter because when he falls back to ‘I had nothing to with it’ line, his in-half-trance base will sigh in relief and fall back into full-on cult-trance.   

But right now, while they are still smarting from that reality-slap, and screaming for full disclosure of America’s greatest paedophiles, the irony is, that one of the person most likely on any Epstein client list could and would be Donald Trump. Even Elon Musk openly said so.

Trump does appear in more of the hereto known party photos with girls and Epstein, than almost anyone else.

And, Epstein is on tape saying that Trump was his ‘best friend’, for over 10 years or so.

Are the MAGAs really ready for full disclosure (?), or would they rather drift back into the Trump-trance and not see the reality? Trump played a happy, prominent part in Epstein’s criminal, swinging lifestyle. In every photo with Epstein, Trump seems to be very pleased with himself and with his surroundings - rich guys partying, with lots of (very) young girls all around them.  

Then, there is on tape - his very creepy fixation with his daughter when she was very young.

And then, there is on tape – with Trump talking about someone being a sexual predator, and his daughter laughingly crying out - ‘and so are you’.

And then, there is on tape - his own account of how he, as the owner of the Miss Universe contest, used some excuse to walk into the dressing room when the young girls were changing, and were in various stages of undress, and he would walk in unannounced just to look at them unclothed; saying ‘they let me do it because I was the owner of the pageant’.

There is also the old Hollywood Access tape, where he condemns himself as a sexual predator, sexually assaulting women, because he can 'get away with it'.

And there is Trump’s conviction, in a New York Court, by Jury, for sexual abuse of E. Jean, Carroll, with a verdict of $5 Million against Donald Trump. E. Jean Carroll also won a second lawsuit against Trump for defamation when he publicly accused her of lying. Both cases resulted in $88.3 Million in damages for E. Jean Carrol.

The trouble is, there is all that, and probably a lot more.

The mind numbing question is how his high and low profile MAGA supporters, for all these years, were able to play ‘Sergeant Schultz’ in the old comedy series ‘Hogan’s Heroes’,  whose most famous line when he did not want to acknowledge uncomfortable reality was to say, “I know nothing! I see nothing! I hear nothing!” That has been MAGA’s position all along.

So, if someone does manage to release everything in the Epstein file (because Trump certainly won’t), then are the semi-awake MAGAs ready to see their Champion of the Righteous Right, as he really is, and has always been? Or will they continue to follow him blindly as will probably be the case. Most MAGAs will be unmoored without their delusional alt-reality to hang on to. But the day is coming when no amount of self-delusion in the MAGA world will be able to disguise the awful truths about their false Messiah.

Additional reality checks:

When Trump first came to power in 2016: Trump promised, ‘on day one’ he would get rid of ‘Obama Care’ and deliver a better Health Plan! He could do neither!! Even though he had both the Houses – Congress, and the Senate!

Trump promised over and over, he would build the ‘Border Wall’, and ‘have Mexico pay for it!!’ Of the almost 2000 mile border, according to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reports, 80 miles of ‘new barriers’ were built, and 452 miles, were the replacement of existing structures built by previous administrations. Nevertheless, to be charitable, about 500 miles of barriers were built out of the 2000 miles of border. And, Mexico refused to pay for any of it.

Under Trump, the economy was never the ‘best ever’, and the financial markets were never the ‘highest ever’.

Under Trump, during COVID, America, in spite of being the biggest economy, and being one of the ‘developed’ countries, had the most COVID deaths of any country (1,193,165)! Trump’s initial denials, subsequent bungled management, and at times jaw-dropping musings of trying ‘bleach’ on humans, to kill COVID, left America’s response to the pandemic in shambles.

Then, upon losing the 2020 election, came his ‘Big Lie’, of the election being ‘stolen’, which claim every court in the land rejected, even the Trump appointed judges. That failure led him to inciting blind MAGAs to storm their own government’s Capitol, to try and prevent the transfer of power (a real modern insurrection, like in a banana republic).

Dear leader is a real peace of work.

So far in his Second Term:

Trump said – on ‘day one’ I will stop the Russia/Ukraine war! It’s been almost 200 days, and Russia has ignored Trump’s pleas, and escalated the war to take advantage of having stooge Trump in the Office.

Trump said he could bring immediate ceasefire to Gaza. Netanyahu has ignored Trump and escalated the slaughter of innocents in Gaza.

Trump tried to stop Israel from bombing Iran, then, had America join in and bomb Iran.

Trump said he has stopped the Houthis from posing a threat to Israel and shipping in the region, by bombing them; the Houthis responded by firing missiles into Israel and sinking additional ships.

So, his claims to being a ‘peace President’ are falling to pieces.

Trump’s much loved and hyped ‘tariffs’ strategy, which was going to bring all nations to their knees, begging him to do trade deals, has instead become an international joke, and has earned him the acronym ‘TACO’ from a financial writer, standing for ‘Trump Always Chickens Out’!!

Jobs are not coming back in any meaningful numbers. A recession is looming.
