Over the last few decades, particularly from the time when Ronald Reagan was President in the United States (in the 1980s), and Brian Mulroney was Canada’s Prime Minister (also in the 1980s), their personal rapport and their political and economic ideological affinity resulted in the first ‘Free Trade Agreement’ between Canada and the United States.

To visiting leaders of other countries, now-a-days, entering the White House is akin to entering the proverbial lion’s den, they don’t know if they are going to be able to come out relatively unscathed, or badly mauled (like Ukraine’s valiant President Zelensky), by the increasingly rabid Donald Trump, and his happiness, positivity, and soul sucking coterie of ‘Dementors’.
